The Shropshire Partnership Community Strategy for Shropshire

The Shropshire Partnership Community Strategy provides a framework for Shropshire's new Local Area Agreement (LAA) and targets. It was published early in 2006 to coincide with the new Local Area Agreement (LAA) 2006-2009 and can be viewed as an attachment on this page. The Strategy will be reviewed in 2009.

We built the Community Strategy from:

• Shropshire's Parish and Market Town plans
• the local community strategies from Bridgnorth, North Shropshire, Oswestry, Shrewsbury and Atcham and South Shropshire
• what you have told us in consultation and at events are the top issues
• facts and figures about what has improved and what still needs to be done
• the top priorities that will form Shropshire's Local Area Agreement with Government

Development of the new Local Development Framework (LDF), which will link to the new Community Strategy, was discussed at the Shropshire Partnership Standing Conference in July 2008. Feedback notes from this event are available as a download from this page.
