Education trusts

There are 3 education trusts in Shropshire (all references to Shropshire include Telford & Wrekin):

The trusts are there to help students who either live or study in Shropshire. Also, the trusts may also consider applications from schools and FE institutions that might submit applications for projects that fulfil the aims of the trusts. Further information can be found by using the links on this page.

The trustees include the Directors of Children's and Young People's Services and Chairs of the Scrutiny panels for the respective authorities of Shropshire County Council and Borough of Telford and Wrekin. They will consider each application on its merits (and on recommendation in the case of the Rosalie Inskip Trust).

Applicants should be aware:

  • funding in the first year does not guarantee funding in further years;
  • award of the full grant sought is unlikely, applicants must consider the effect of less than 100% funding would have on their projects;
  • the trustees meet on a termly basis so applicants must consider the timing of grant approval when developing a project or considering making a request.

Application deadlines: Dates for trust meetings have not been finalised, however, they will be termly. It is recommended that applicants submit their requests to the Trust Manager who will notify applicants of the decision timetable.
