Shropshire Children's Trust

Five outcomes

Shropshire Children's Trust was formed from the Children and Young People's Strategic Partnership in October 2004. The Trust is chaired by the County Council's Director of Children and Young People's Services. The Trust works closely with the Shropshire Safeguarding Children Board (SSCB), which is also chaired by the Director of Children and Young People's Services.

Shropshire Children’s Trust is a strategic partnership of agencies responsible for services for children and young people. By working together, and with children, young people and families, the Children’s Trust sets strategic direction, identifies priorities, monitors progress, and identifies or pools budgets to meet needs to improve outcomes for children and young people.

Shropshire Children's Trust has developed a vision and a statement of commitment following extensive consultation with schools, partner agencies, practitioners, parents, carers, children and young people. The commitment statement sets out the way in which partner agencies will work together in Shropshire to deliver services for children and young people.
